The Fair Committee

The Santa Rosa County Fair is a community event with participation from all factions of the county.  The Santa Rosa County Fair Assn., Inc. is a ”non  profit 501 3C organization” comprised of local volunteers.  The Association works hard every year to make each fair an enjoyable family event.  The SRCF Committee consists of volunteers from Gulf Breeze to Jay.
Examples of the county’s participation includes students from Milton High School earning community service hours required for the Florida Academics Scholarship program through cleaning of the Fair grounds, Band Boosters working the gates and selling soda and shish-ka-bob, Life Guard Ambulance providing First Aid, various 4-H clubs providing the majority of the required exhibits  and the ARC helps on handicap night.  The Exhibits are from individuals, clubs, schools, Government departments, and various non-profit organizations.
It takes many hours of planning for all of these different organizations to come together as a unit and provide the Fair.  Without the leaders of these organizations and our Sponsors, the Fair would not be.  Any non profit organization interested in participating in the Fair needs to contact the Fair Committee so we can work you into the planning.   Last years attendance reached 25,000 visitors!
Our Fair will continue to grow with your support and ideas.  Please feel free to make suggestions to the Fair committee.  We hope you have a fun and safe visit to the fair.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Santa Rosa County Fair to educate and involve our patrons by providing an ole’ fashioned county fair that is safe, entertaining and fun.  We operate under the Sunshine Law and strive to provide outstanding customer service; provide a safe hometown environment for family fun; showcase Santa Rosa County’s agriculture, art, industry and talent; and present an environment for education and community involvement.

Fair History

The Santa Rosa County Fair was revived in 1992 after fifty years with no county fair.  The process began by advertising for volunteers to create a county fair for Santa Rosa County.  Volunteers are still the backbone of the Fair. The tenth fair, held in 2002, was negatively impacted when three days were lost due to an impending tropical storm.  The Fair rebounded in 2003 with the same low prices and wholesome entertainment available to the families living in communities in and around Santa Rosa County. For eleven years, the Fair was held at the Industrial Park in Milton.  In 2004, the Fair moved to the East Milton Recreation Park where permanent, expanded facilities are available, but due to Hurricane Ivan destroying the Park 4 days before opening day- yet another fair had to be cancelled. After a loss of $35,000 and 2 consecutive hurricanes shutting down the fair- we decided to move the fair back to the spring and try our luck again. So in April 2005 we finally held our best fair ever in our new location. In the following 2 years the fair has become a strong part of spring time in Santa Rosa County. We had grown to over 25,000 in attendance yearly. Our 2008 fair is on schedule for April 1-6 at the East Milton Park. This will officially be our 15th fair.

The goal of the Fair Board and its volunteers is to provide our citizens with a family oriented "Ole' Fashioned County Fair".  The Santa Rosa County Fair Association, Inc., chartered and incorporated twelve years ago, belongs to the citizens of Santa Rosa County.
Governed by Florida State Law, the Fair is required to put all funds earned back into the Fair or into the community (organizations operated for charitable or educational purposes within the County).  Chapter 616 of the Florida Statutes governs all activities of the Fair as a not-for-profit organization.  We carefully plan how every dollar is used to give our county a Blue Ribbon Fair.  Our meetings are open to the public and we invite your participation.
Come celebrate with us in our new home.  Be a part of a Fair that recalls our heritage and looks to the future of Santa Rosa County.
