DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL MARCH 26TH FOR ALL ENTRIES- INCLUDING MOTHER OF THE YEAR AND COLORING CONTEST ALONG WITH ALL OTHER EXHIBITS.

LET US BRAG ON YOU!

Do you have the perfect pickle?  Are you a quilting queen?

If so, the Santa Rosa County Fair wants you to prove it.

Before your family devours this year’s canned foods, enter samples in the Fair, April 1st – 6th.  Your heat-sealed jars of fruits, pickles, jams, meats, preserves, vegetables, etc. will be judged on their appearance and the quality of your workmanship and will be returned to you unopened.  Perhaps there will be a blue ribbon attached to your entry!  Aunt’s Bee’s Perfect Pickle Contest is headed for it’s 5th year.  Who will take home the bragging rights this year?

Handicrafts you’ve made in the last year are also eligible for competition.  Knitting, crochet, embroidering, quilting, basketry, ceramics, jewelry, woven items, hand-painted items, smocked clothing, and other forms of hand-made crafts (no kits) will compete based on quality, design, and originality.

Did you go on vacation and take a picture that you think is really special? Then you need to make an enlargement of it, frame it and bring it the fair’s Average Joe’s Photo Contest.

This year due to our new location, all exhibits will be inside under air conditioning.  This way you can display all of the beauty of your items.

Although the Santa Rosa County Fair is a family-oriented event designed to highlight the good things happening in Santa Rosa, contestants do not have to be county resident to enter exhibits.  Escambia and Okaloosa individuals are more than welcome.

All contest items are due at the Fair Grounds between 1 & 7 p.m. on Monday, March 31st, and must be picked up between 4 & 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 6th.  You can also bring your items to the fair’s office on Sunday, March 30th.  See the contest rules for details.

Contestants enter separate divisions for Adults, Children, and Developmentally Disabled Adults.  Each item must have an entry form submitted prior to the Fair.  We must receive your entry form (one per item entered) in the mail by March 21st.

Our Exhibit Guides provide all the rules and a copy of the entry form for you to duplicate.  You can find these below.  If you have difficulty obtaining this information, you can call 850-623-3868 or contact Exhibits Chair Angela Qualls at exhibits@santarosacountyfair.org for assistance.
